And should causes me problems. But I do like the concept that it's portraying about looking to and being true to ourselves and the best in ourselves.Nevahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09040284349118172617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3128439784918334391.post-87869446625265769452014-04-15T07:07:38.484-07:002014-04-15T07:07:38.484-07:00Oh, wow. A...Oh, wow. I needed this. Shoulds are crippling.

A very popular movie right now, as you know, is Frozen. Now there's an illustration of what living in a world of shoulds can do to a person, and how it affects the whole community. Reminds me of that quote by Marianne Williamson:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Thanks, Laura.Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09599902121403028430noreply@blogger.com
